Packing machine operator

As an operator packing zone you are responsible for starting up the packing lines, independently setting and adjusting packing and labeling machines, performing checks: metal detection, foil, labels, welds, etc.  You will work in shifts and therefor receive a shift bonus from 0,80 euro per worked hour during the day and 3,6825 euro during the night shift.

Our client is a company in full expansion. They have two production facilities for chips, taco shells, wraps and dinner kits. They store all that goodies in a high-bay warehouse. A new production facility for tortillas is currently under construction. 735 people work across all departments, but our client is constantly looking for additional colleagues to strengthen their team. Because many hands make light work. Our client offers a thorough training in which you learn to operate the different machines. You can also count on the help of your own mentor within your department. In addition, you will be accompanied by the team leader. On long term you can have a permanent contract, supplemented with fringe benefits (meal vouchers and hospitalization insurance), sufficient space for initiative and independent work and the the opportunity to evolve within a modern and growing company. We offer a relocation fee for international recruitment. This fee covers your travelling costs to Belgium and the first week of accommodation.

The ideal operator for our client speaks English, can work with computer controlled machines, is willing to work the night shift or in a 2 shifts system.

After a thorough training, you are independently responsible for filling and packing frozen vegetables. You are responsible for a complete packaging line of which you thoroughly know all sub-tasks. Thanks to you, the line works smoothly and problems are solved quickly and efficiently. You have full control over the line: from the input of vegetables to the stacking of the packed boxes on an automatic stacker. As an operator you set the machines to achieve maximum efficiency and quality (speed, weight...). You solve operational problems at your line and communicate to the team leader and technicians when necessary. You collect the right recipes in consultation with the team leader and make adjustments where necessary and you do the quality control on the packaged product (weight, printing, foil, boxes, label... ).
